The Flank is multipurpose device that belongs to WilyKat. It consists of a reel-like circular box that houses a long, retractable string whose end is connected to a metal ring with three metal claws inserted in it.
WilyKat can use the Flank as a weapon to attack opponents. He can also use it as a grappling hook to climb steep places. Another surprising use of the Flank is to produce music. By holding the strings down with his foot, WilyKat can produce musical sounds by strumming the Flank like an upright bass.
