Story[]
Queen of 8 Legs, part 2 of 2:[]
Written by Steve Perry
Art by Jim Mooney, Vince Colletta, Pat Brousseau and Marie Severin
The action resumes in the Kingdom of Webs with Lion-O fighting his way to Snarf. As he reaches his companion, he is attached by the gigantic form of Spidera! Lion-O uses the Sword of Omens to summon the other ThunderCats who set off from Cats’ Lair in the Thundertank. Meanwhile, the battle goes badly as Spidera knocks the sword from Lion-O’s hand and traps him in her web.
The ThunderCats arrive just in time to distract Spidera. She immediately traps Panthro inside the tank using her silk and catches Cheetara in another sticky web. Tygra finds the sword but is also caught, despite his invisibility. He manages to throw the sword to Snarf who catches it in his tail and throws it to Lion-O who is able to free his friends. Lion-O hesitates, not wanting to kill Spidera and Snarf observes that it would have been better if she had never hatched. By all holding the Sword of Omens, the ThunderCats are able to recreate Spidera’s egg, trapping her inside. As the ThuderCats congratulate themselves, Snarf interrupts and says that it’s time they returned to the Lair so that Lion-O can have his dinner!
