ThunderCats Ho! - Part III is an episode from the original series of ThunderCats. Written by Leonard Starr, it originally aired on September 10, 1986.
Summary[]
Ratar-O and Vultureman join in the fight to stop the ThunderCats from reaching Fire Rock Mountian while Lion-O faces all kinds of evil inside Mumm-Ra's Pyramid.
Story[]
While trying to pulverize Lion-O with the Fistpounder, Monkian inadvertently causes an avalanche which buries Lion-O alive. Snowman, Snowmeow and the Sword of Omens together free Lion-O just in time to repel another Mutant attack. While Snowman chases Jackalman, Lion-O goes after Slithe, throwing the stocky reptilian off the SkyCutter and taking control of the vehicle himself.
Panthro arrives in the ThunderTank just in time to lend a hand to Snowman who is single-handedly battling both the NoseDiver and the Fistpounder. Unfortunately, Ratar-O also appears on the scene and tilts the odds back in the Mutants’ favor by blasting the ThunderTank with the VariCannon.
On Fire Rock Mountain, Slithe and Jackalman arrive to take possession of the three Thunderian prisoners from Captain Shiner. The two Mutants then imprison the trio in a cell within a cave located on the mountain.
Meanwhile, Lion-O has made his way inside Mumm-Ra’s Pyramid, unaware that Mumm-Ra is watching his every move. While trying to reach the mummy’s chamber, he is attacked first by Ma-Mutt and then by mummy wrappings that have come alive. The wrappings mummify Lion-O from head to toe.
