Warner Bros. Animation. (WBA) is an American animation studio. It is the animation division of the popular Warner Brothers company and handles all of WB's animated movies and shows.

WBA is the successor of "Warner Bros. Cartoons" studio which was well known for producing the highly successful "Looney Tunes" and "Merrie Melodies" cartoon shorts featuring such iconic characters as "Bugs Bunny" and "Daffy Duck".

The studio came into existence in 1980 when it was re-formed to produce compilation films and TV specials featuring the "Looney Tunes" characters. WBA then moved on to producing new and original animated TV shows such as "Tiny Toon Adventures" and its spin-offs "Animaniacs" and "Pinky and the Brain".

After WB acquired DC Comics, WBA got involved with producing animated TV shows based on the DC superheroes and villains. Shows such as "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Superman: The Animated Series" went on to become very successful and achieve critical acclaim.

In 2010, WBA started developing a reboot of the ThunderCats animated series, a franchise that came into WB's ownership after it purchased Lorimar-Telepictures Corporation in 1989. In collaboration with Studio 4°C, WBA completed the first season of ThunderCats (2011) which started airing in July of 2011.
