Pumyra was the fourth ThunderCats action figure produced by Mattel Toys as part of their "Classics" line. The figure was based on the original 1980s cartoon version of the Pumyra. The figures stood 6 inches tall and had multiple points of articulation as well as having a number of accessories.

The Pumyra figure went on sale in November of 2016 on the "Mattycollector" website.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Features[]

1. Poseable limbs, head and torso: The figure has 13 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hip, knees, ankles). The articulation allows the figure to be posed in a number of action stances.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Accessories[]

1. Interchangeable hands: The figure came with a pair of extra hands that could be swapped. Some of the hands had closed grips to allow the included weapons and accessories to fit into them.

2. Cat's Tail Whipcord (open version): The figure came with the weapon that was used by Pumyra in the cartoon. It was made of brown plastic with the tips painted white.

3. Cat's Tail Whipcord (tied version): The second version of the whipcord had a peg and hole and could be snapped around the figure's waist. It was also made of brown plastic.

4. Totem of Dera: The figure came with the Totem of Dera, one of the items included in the Treasure of Thundera. The accessory had a golden brown handle holding a blue crystal.

5. Boomerang: The figure also came with a four pronged boomerang. Made of silver plastic, the Boomerang had a bright red circle in the center.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Packaging[]

Pumyra came packaged in a window box with a clear plastic front. The window box itself comes packaged inside an black shipper box with the Eye of Thundera logo printed on it in grey.

ThunderCats Bullet Point Notes of Interest[]

  • When Mattel first unveiled the unpainted Pumyra prototype, fans were not happy with the face of the figure. Mattel then corrected this and revealed a modified Pumyra prototype shortly.

  • One of the accessories included with the figure was the Totem of Dera. However, in the cartoon, the artifact only appears in one episode and it is Snarfer who uses it in that story. Pumyra did not even appear in the episode.
  • Another accessory also included with the figure was a Boomerang which never appeared in the cartoon series.
  • The Pumyra figure was taller than the Mattel Lion-O figure even though in the cartoon he is taller than her.
