Mon*Star is the main antagonist and nemesis of the SilverHawks. His cyborg bird companion is Sky-Shadow.
A muscular cat-like humanoid with a lion-like mane, Mon*Star is the most notorious criminal in Limbo Galaxy. He is a criminal kingpin who runs all his nefarious activities with the help of his criminal cronies, who together constitute the Mob.
He was arrested by Commander Stargazer and locked up in Penal Planet 10. However, he managed to escape from the maximum security prison along with his Mob. Since then, Stargazer's SilverHawks have been hot on his trail, stopping his criminal activities while they try to apprehend him.
Weapons and Equipment[]
Even though he is endowed with superhuman strength, Mon*Star's true power comes from the beams of Moon*Star of Limbo. When exposed to these rays, Mon*Star undergoes a physical transformation in which his entire body becomes covered with spiked armor plates. Not only does this armor magnify his strength, it also furnishes him with jets and laser beams.
But Mon*Star's strongest weapon is the Light Star Beam which he can fire from his left eye when in his transformed state. The red beam can have a variety of effects on an opponent including the ability to immobilize, hypnotize or even destroy them.
Mon*Star's main mode of transportation is the Sky-Runner, a huge space squid that he has equipped with jet engines and firing weapons.

- Mon*Star had a small cameo in the 2011 ThunderCats series' episode titled "Legacy".
- Mon*Star shares a number of similarities with Mumm-Ra from the ThunderCats:
- Both are the main antagonists of their respective shows.
- Both were voiced by Earl Hammond who used a similar sounding tone for both.
- Both had the ability to transform into a powerful version of themselves by reciting a special incantation.
