While engaging in battle, Panthro and Monkian are injured and the [[[ThunderTank]] is damaged beyond immediate repair. In order to survive the long journey home on foot, both Panthro and Monkian have to put their difference apart and work together. Monkian's Skycutter, though not skyworthy, is used as a raft to sail down the River of Dispair. During the journey, Panthro and Monkian have to save one and another, especially when faced with a mysterious goop in the water that attacks them. They eventually both make it to dry ground. It seems they're going to part ways when Monkian suddenly makes off with Panthro's nun-chucks. Panthro is angry until he realizes Monkian took them so he could smash a slime tentacle that was going after Panthro. That made them even with two saves each, and Panthro left with a slightly new respect for Muntat-kind.
