Story[]
Dr Dometone, part 4 of 4:[]
Written by Tom DeFalco
Art by Dwayne Turner, Dave Simons, Janice Chiang and Petra Scotese
The story continues with Wilykat being caught in a net as he attempts to stop Scrape from returning to the Oceanic Plug. Lion-O returns to Herky and uses the Sword of Omens to summon the other ThunderCats who leap into the ThunderTank and depart Cats’ Lair. Back at the Great Plug, Scrape has tied up Wilkykat and forces him to watch as he opens the plug for the first time in seventeen centuries, draining Third Earth’s oceans. Scrape realises that the waters are draining too fast and Panthro tells him that they have encased the plug in an air bubble. When Scrape threatens Wilykat, Tygra and Panthro use a vacuum tube to suck him out of the control room and into captivity. Meanwhile, Dr. Dometone, Wilykit, and Lion-O, who are still aboard Herky, return to the Great Plug and retake control.
The Enemy Below:[]
Written by Steve Alan
The adventure continues with the five castaways travelling under the sea in the command pod of the wrecked Vanguard of Ro-Bear. The storm blasted them clear of Destiny Atoll and they are functioning on emergency battery power. They realise they are being pushed along by a powerful ocean current. As they enter a cave, Pumyra realises that it is the mouth of a great sea creature! With oxygen running out, Bengali leaves to try to swim for help. Unfortunately, this loses even more air so Ro-Bear Bob uses their last power to electrify the hull, causing the sea monster to spit them out… all the way back to Destiny Atoll. As Pumyra jumps down to the familiar beach, Bengali hauls himself ashore and the five companions are once again stranded!
