Mumm-Ra orders the Mutants and Hammerhand to challenge the Thundercats to a sporting contest and have Lion-O put the Sword of Omens on display as a symbol of their truce. Sure enough, the Thundercats accept the challenge and the games begin. The Mutants are determined to win by fair means or foul, and Monkian cheats during a race with Cheetara. Lion-O is furious about the Thundercats losing their honour, which Mumm-Ra, watching in his cauldron, finds very interesting indeed.
Drills and Spills:
Written by Steve Alan
WilyKat gets a dressing down from Lion-O for messing about in the Control Room and as punishment he has to go with Bengali to help find Thundrillium. Meanwhile, Driller is making himself a tunnel. Suddenly, Lion-O and Tygra find themselves in the dark. Without power to the Lair, they are trapped. The air starts to get stale and they wonder if their friends will get to them in time. Bengali and WilyKat have found themselves a vein of Thundrillium and start to extract it, only to suck up Driller in the process. It turns out that Driller was planning to make a tunnel to Cat's Lair, but hit the power core instead. Lion-O, now rescued from the Lair, thanks WilyKat for saving his life.
