ThunderCats Bullet Point Story[]

Wilykat's Lair:[]

Written by Andrew Brenner
Art by Stephen Baskerville, Simon Coleby, Bambos and Nancy Hazel

The story begins outside Cats’ Lair with Wilykat being told off by Lion-O for accidentally injuring Snarf while not behaving “sensibly.” The Thunderkitten is aggrieved as it was an accident and flies off on his Spaceboard. When he comes to land, he finds himself at the mouth of a cave which he calls "Wilykat’s Lair," promising never to return to the others. However, as he explores deeper, he begins to get sleepy until he collapses – the cave is lined with Thundranium ore!

Back at Cats’ Lair, the others are worried by Wilykat’s prolonged absence and begin to search for him. It’s Panthro who finds his Spaceboard and heads into the cave, only to suffer the same fate. Later, Lion-O uses the Sword of Omens and discovers the danger his companions are in. Strapping a piece of Thundrillium to his chest to protect him, Lion-O enters the cave and reaches Panthro and Wilykat. But the presence of Thundrillium begins to destabilise the cave and it collapses just seconds after Lion-O escapes, much to the relief of the other waiting ThunderCats. Later, Wilykat is being fussed over in bed and says that he is glad to be home.

Trick or Treat:[]

Writer Uncredited

The ThunderCats begin to suffer a series of pranks and practical jokes from black grease on Panthro’s Thunder-viewers to pepper in Lynx-O’s Berbil Fruit juice, to itching powder on Lion-O’s clothes. We discover that the Thunderkittens are responsible but they hide the evidence and lie about their activities that day so get away without punishment. Or so they think, for Jaga appears to Lion-O and reminds him that he keeps watch over all the ThunderCats and kittens and knows something that the Lord of the ThunderCats might find interesting...

  • This is the first issue of the ThunderCats comic in its reduced monthly publication schedule, but the number of pages has increased to 28.
  • It is also the first time the comic has an April Fools' Day theme.
  • The colouring in the story Wilykat's Lair has a number of omissions such as Lion-O's hair in one panel and Wilykit's feet in another which have been left white.
  • We also have the novelty of Thundrillium being used to counter the effects of Thundranium, a concept which was never explored in the cartoon.
  • Trick or Treat is a standalone text story.
