The Yak is one of the animals that inhabit Third Earth. It is a long-haired bovine animal with large horns on its head. It lives high in the mountains and its heavy shaggy coat keeps it warm. While generally not aggressive, the Yaks have a short temper and get easily irritated. Once angered, they charge head first, knocking out any body in their path.
Lion-O once encountered a Yak while he was climbing the mountain to reach the Crystal Kingdom of Queen Tartara. Along the way, he was attacked by Queen Tartara's Guards and while trying to avoid them, he fell down a slope and bumped into a Yak. The Yak was not amused and tried to charge at Lion-O but instead hit the guard after Lion-O jumped out of the way just in time.
