Zig is the leader of the Wood Forgers as well as being a powerful sorcerer, specializing the mystic art of paper magic. He is also the headmaster of the established School of Paper Arts.
While the ThunderCats' quest leads them in to the Forest of Magi Oar, Zig and his two followers Gami and Nips, rescue the Cats from what appear to be Forest Spirits using their paper magic.
Zig tells Lion-O that he and his fellow Wood Forgers were the protectors of the Forest of Magi Ore which was under constant attack by the giant bird Viragor. He also shows them the Paper Mill which turns timber into the paper that they use for their magic.
Later however, Lion-O realizes that Viragor is the protector of the forest while the Wood Forgers are evil. Overcome by their lust for power, the Wood Forgers were cutting down trees at an alarming rate and endangering the very existence of the forest.
With the truth revealed, the ThunderCats then help Viragor to defeat the Wood Forgers and rid the forest of them.
Strengths[]
The strength of Zig lies in his mastery of the mystic arts of paper magic. He sorcery makes him a tough adversary for any opponent.
Also Zig appears to be very good in the art of persuasion, easily able to talk anyone into believing that his actions are for the greater good.
Weaknesses[]
Like all the Wood Forgers, Zig's power lies in the Notebook strapped to his chest, which is a source of magical paper. Destruction of the Notebook renders Zig powerless.
Weapons and Equipment[]
Zig's main and only weapon is the magical paper. He uses his mastery of sorcery to turn paper into a potent weapon. He can turn the paper into explosives, giant origami-like monsters, or bring to life anything that he draws on them.
